  • Wear comfortable, loose, and non-binding clothing to your session.

  • A few hours prior to your session, remove anything that may cause lines on your body, such as socks, maternity pants, jewelry, or undergarments. The best way to arrive for your session is in loose fitting pants and a t-shirt.

  • Luxurious black or white silk pregnancy wraps are available at the studio for use during your portrait session. You are welcome to bring a robe or covering to wear if needed in between shoots.

  • At least one hour before your session, remove any socks or shoes that your baby may be wearing. Socks tend to leave lines around the ankles.

  • If your baby is sleeping when you arrive at the studio, that is fine. Please do not feel you have to wake your baby. Some of the best moments and expressions on a baby's face come while they are still asleep!

  • Feel free to feed, soothe, and take care of your baby in any way during our time together. You may also want to bring your baby's favorite blanket should he or she begin to fuss.

  • For newborn portraits, diaper covers are a great clothing choice. I often ask Mom or Dad to hold their baby during the portrait session, so I recommend you wear long sleeve black shirts or sweaters.

  • Clothing should fit the style of portraits you want to create. Different clothing can affect the mood of a portrait; I'm always available to consult with you should you need some suggestions or recommendations.

  • Solid colors work best. White shirts photograph wonderfully, as well as the timeless choices of white linen dresses, khakis, and polos.

  • Choose comfortable shoes that match the child's outfit. If you'd like a more relaxed or natural look, bare feet are perfect!

  • Complimentary clothing styles and color are good choices for group portraits. Similar color tones and styles put the focus on the people in the portrait. Multi-colored patterns or stripes can be disastrous!

  • Classics , like khakis, navy blues, and white linen will stand the test of time and never look dated.

  • Choose clothing suitable for the location of your photography session.
